About

Hi! I'm Daniel VanMilligan.
I have a passion for web development, information architecture, user experience, usability, etc. I love anything Open Source. And especially free. I default to Chrome. Enjoy Mac.
I currently work at Thomas Communications, Inc. where I devote my time to MainframeZone.com and continuing its presence as the place for all things mainframe. I handle all online responsibilities for MainframeZone.com. I work on everything from Apache, MySQL, and PHP, but my heart is with front-end development: XHTML, CSS, Javascript (Prototype, jQuery). I’m constantly working to improve my skills in User Experience, Information Architecture, and Usability.
My heart is
- for God and to use the creative abilities he has given me for his glory.
- for users to give them a great experience that persuades them, evicts desirable emotions, and creates trust.
- for the people I work alongside to carry a part of the team and work together to not only reach our goals, but take a step beyond.
- for myself to not let my skills stagnate and to always refine who I am and get better at what I do.
